Roberta “Mitzi” Barrett is an educator with a BA from the University of Colorado. She taught in New Hampshire schools for a number of years. She has also served as a member of the New Hampshire State Board of Education, as New Hampshire Commissioner to the Education Commission of the States, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

Mitzi’s history of service also includes her work with the Governor’s Job Corps Task Force, the Work Force Opportunity Council, and the New Hampshire Youth Council. She served eight years on the Nashua Board of Education, two years as chair. Barrett was one of the founding members of the Nashua Region Board of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. She is a former member and chair of the Board of Trustees of New Hampshire Public Radio. She is currently a member of Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Humanities Council.
