It’s probably no surprise that the CLiF Staff loves to read. After all, our mission is to share our love of reading and writing with low-income, at-risk, and rural kids in Vermont and New Hampshire. So of course, we read a lot. We read with our kids; we read by ourselves; and sometimes, we read with our pets, too.

While we’ve been enjoying some relaxing at home with books during the holidays, our furry (and fishy) friends cuddled up for some quality reading time.

If you love the idea of reading with animals, CLiF has a new Community Building grant opportunity, which includes starting a program for Reading with Shelter Animals. It encourages young readers to read aloud, while socializing anxious shelter animals. Win-win!
