On Sunday, July 8, CLiF’s staff gave away hundreds of children’s books to kids at the Vermont Lake Monsters game in Burlington. CLiF tries to get out in the communities we serve to let folks know what we’re up to in their area and to put books in the hands of even more kids. Several families whose kids attend the Sustainability Academy in Burlington (A CLIF 2017-2018 Year of the Book school) stopped by to tell us how CLiF has impacted their family’s reading this year.

Lots of kids were excited to bring home their very own books and many were spotted digging into their books during the game. Some parents even came up to us between innings to tell us their kids had already read their books 3 or 4 times!

A young reader can’t wait to dig into his new book!

Thanks to the Lake Monsters for letting us join in the ballpark fun, and to General Dynamics’ Employee Action Council for sponsoring this event!
