Early in her career, Posie’s degrees in English and History and also in Medieval English Literature and Library Science brought her to leadership roles in a variety of libraries up and down the East Coast. While she loved (and continues to love) libraries, her true calling was always summer camp, so she finally settled down happily at The Aloha Foundation in Fairlee. From homesick camper to Executive Director, her career there allowed her to serve children and young people and to keep learning all along the way. In 2005, Posie “retired” for the first time and wondered what was next. It turns out that camps across the country were in need of consulting help with fund-raising and leadership, keeping her deeply connected with the camping community. At the same time, Posie found her way to board leadership at The Family Place in Norwich and Crossroads Academy in Lyme. She welcomes the opportunity to join CLIF – -an organization she has long admired – and looks forward to exploring this new way of serving children and families. Posie lives in White River Junction and is the proud “Grammie” of 4 readers, ages 6 through 16!
