Deb Nelson

Deb teaches AP English teacher at Lebanon High School in Lebanon, NH, where she has taught English, American Studies, and American History for the past 20 years. Before teaching, she worked at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and in undergraduate admissions at Dartmouth and Princeton.

Deb spent formative years in Baghdad, Iraq and in Monrovia, Liberia when her father worked for the Agency of International Development. She recalls lugging heavy bags of books onto airplanes for entertainment while abroad.

For many years Deb has volunteered for and cycled in The Prouty, which raises funds for cancer research and patient services at Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Norris Cotton Cancer Center. She also regularly cycles the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC).

Deb graduated from Vassar College with a degree in American Studies and received a Master’s from Dartmouth College. She is active in politics in her hometown of Hanover, New Hampshire, and is the proud mother of two adult children.
