Steve Swinburne is an author and photographer who has published more than thirty nonfiction books for young readers. Steve holds a BA degree in biology and English from Castleton State College in Vermont. He has worked as a park ranger in a number of national parks and has traveled to Africa, Borneo, the Caribbean, and Yellowstone National Park for book projects. His most recent title is Sea Turtle Scientist from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
Steve makes his living traveling, writing, photographing, and visiting schools to share his adventures with students and teachers. He lives in Vermont with his wife Heather, and their two dogs, Scout and Jem.
