Terry Farish writes fiction and freelance articles for magazines. Some of her children’s books include The Cat Who Liked Potato Soup, Why I’m Already Blue, Shelter For a Seabird, and Talking in Animal. Terry has a passion for writing about immigrants and refugees. Her book, The Good Braider, is a young adult novel in verse about a young girl’s fight to survive the violence of war in Juba, Sudan, and the conflict within her own family when they resettle in Portland, ME. Her newest books include Either the Beginning or the End of the World, the story of a Cambodian-American girl and a picture book, The Alleyway about a boy from the Dominican Republic. Terry has also worked as a children’s librarian, waitress, editor, and for the Red Cross in Asia. But the work that always holds her is writing.
