CLiF’s first annual Two-Sentence Writing Contest was a huge success! We were thrilled to receive over 700 entries from young authors all over Vermont and New Hampshire. We already knew that kids in this part of the world are experts on winter, and the stories that poured in by mail and email proved it! So many wintery topics were explored: skiing, sledding, snowball fights, yetis, hot cocoa breaks, ice castles, animals in chilly settings, frozen body parts…we could go on and on! We plan to announce the winners next week, and will be sharing some of our favorite stories with you in the days ahead. But today, we want to share a special video message from award-winning author/illustrator and CLiF presenter Jason Chin to everyone who entered the contest.
